Canada: Inuvik

I received this some days ago and I think this should be mentioned here. This is a cover from Inuvik. Inuvik is a town in the Northwest Territories of Canada and is the administrative centre for the Inuvik Region, located about 200 km (124 mi) north of the Arctic Circle on the shores of the Beaufort Delta. The population as of the 2011 Census was 3,484. The city is connected to the Dempster Highway. The highway begins about 40 km (25 mi) east of Dawson City, Yukon on the Klondike Highway and extends 736 km (457 mi) to Inuvik.

The cover was sent to me by the Town Administration of Inuvik and included some cards, a tourist guide and nice pin.

Inside the Cover I found pretty nice cards:

Thanks to Mr. Taylor Giffin for this great Cover!

Russia: Murmansk

This card comes from Murmansk, Russia. Murmansk is a port city and the administrative center of Murmansk Oblast, Russia, located in the extreme northwest part of Russia. Although Murmansk's population is in decline—299,148 (2014 est.); 307,257 (2010 Census); 336,137 (2002 Census); 468,039 (1989 Census)—it remains the largest city north of the Arctic Circle.

It's also a special one, because it came with the new russian postcrossing stamp.

Russia: Norilsk

This card is from the very north of Russia. Norilsk (russian: Нори́льск) is the world's northernmost city with more than 100,000 inhabitants and the second largest city (after Murmansk) inside the Arctic Circle. Nickel ore is smelted on site at Norilsk. The smelting is directly responsible for severe pollution, generally acid rain and smog. The Blacksmith Institute included Norilsk in its 2013 list of the ten most polluted places on Earth.
