The first live radio broadcast of a football match in Germany took place on October 1, 1925. The game featured Preußen Münster and Arminia Bielefeld, two clubs from the Westphalia region. It was aired by Westdeutsche Funkstunde (WEFAG), a regional radio station based in Münster. The Cover below commemorates this Occasion. By the way, Arminia Bielefeld won 0:5. Now, almost 100 years later, Arminia Bielefeld has reached the DFB-Pokal final for the first time in the club’s history. The match will be on Saturday, May 24th against VfB Stuttgart.

Germany: Postal Stationary - "Germania: Myth and Stamp"
Germania stamps are definitive stamps that were issued by the German Empire and the Weimar Republic between 1900 and 1922, depicting Germania. Germania is the personification of the German nation or the Germans as a whole. The stamps represent the longest running series in German philately and are in their many variations and derivations an essential part of German philatelic collections. This Postal Stationary was issued during this year's IBRA23 in Essen.

Germany: Paderborn
Paderborn is a city in eastern North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The name of the city derives from the river Pader and 'born', an old German term for the source of a river. The river Pader originates in more than 200 springs near Paderborn Cathedral, where St. Liborius is buried. To honor St. Liborius, there is a famous festival every last week in July called "Libori". There are 145,000 inhabitants (as recorded in December 2009) living within the city, many of which moved to Paderborn during the last thirty years.
