Indonesia: Marine Life - Joint Issue with Singapore FDC

These nice stamps on this FDC from Indonesia were issued as a joint Issue between Singapore and Indonesia to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the bilateral ties between both countries. It follows a 2009 collaboration with stamps featuring tourist attractions of both countries. This time the stamps features coral reefs of both countries. Like the many interdependencies in coral reefs it was intended to reflect the many ways in which Singapore and Indonesia are working together.

I'm very happy to receive this FDC also with a special First-Day Cancellation from Bandung.

Indonesia: World Press Freedom Day

Every year, 3 May is a date which celebrates the fundamental principles of press freedom; to evaluate press freedom around the world, to defend the media from attacks on their independence and to pay tribute to journalists who have lost their lives in the exercise of their profession. This year the UNESCO, the Government of Indonesia, and the Press Council of Indonesia co-organized the World Press Freedom Day's main event and the UNESCO/Guillermo Cano World Press Freedom Prize Ceremony in Jakarta, Indonesia, from 1-4 May 2017.

This nice cover was sent to me from Pontianak, Indonesia. The city is located precisely on the equator, hence it is widely known as Kota Khatulistiwa (Equatorial City). The city center is actually less than 3 kilometres (2 mi) south of the equator.

Stamps:
World Press Freedom Day (full Set) - Issued: 03-05-2017

Many thanks to Muhammad for this nice Cover!

Indonesia: Cover with Postcards

Today I received a nice cover from Indonesia. Indonesia is a sovereign island country in Southeast Asia and Oceania. It is the largest island country in the world by the number of islands, with more than fourteen thousand islands. Indonesia has an estimated population of over 255 million people and is the world's fourth most populous country and the most populous Muslim-majority country. The world's most populous island of Java contains more than half of the country's population. The capital and largest city is Jakarta.

Stamps:
Upper row: Indonesian Defence Industry (whole set) - Issued: 05-10-2015
lower row: The 70th Anniversary of the House of Representatives (whole set) - Issued: 29-08-2015

Inside the cover I found these great cards:

Jakarta by Night

Island and Province of Bali

Senggigi Beach, Lombok

Many thanks to Justin for this great cover and postcards!
