The 2018 FIFA World Cup Final took place on 15 July 2018 to determine the winners of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The match was contested by France and Croatia, and held at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, Russia. France won the match 4–2, having taken a 2–1 lead during the first half on an own goal and penalty awarded by the video assistant referee (VAR), both firsts in a World Cup final. However, to win the silver medal was a huge success for coach Zlatko Dalić and his croatian team.
